Jen Cabiya, Digital Projects Coordinator, coordinates short and long-term digitization projects, trains and supports Ohio Memory partners in adding collections to the site, and manages the Newspaper Microfilming & Digitization and the Rights & Reproductions services. Jen has a BA in Psychology from Kenyon College and previously worked on the National Digital Newspaper Program in Ohio (NDNP). Duryea Kemp, Scanning and Microfilm Technician, joined the organization to work on our original newspaper microfilming project. Phil Sager, Digital Projects Developer, works on Ohio Memory and and a number of other digital projects within the Ohio History Connection. He has a BA in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MLS from UW-Madison, and a Specialist Degree in Digital Libraries from Indiana University. He has been involved in numerous initiatives, including an online interactive tutorial for a virtual university, project development for Ohio Memory, the Ohio Digital Newspaper Program and general database development for the Ohio History Connection. Jenni Salamon, Manager, Digital Services, oversees Ohio Memory, including rights and reproductions, digitization and microfilming services; web properties such as Ohio History Central and the Ohio History Connection’s collections catalogs; and virtual events. She also coordinates and provides outreach and training on digitization and related topics. She serves as a Community Engagement Center Representative and Outreach Working Group Chair for the Ohio Digital Network (DPLA). Shannon Kupfer-Trausch has been employed by the State Library of Ohio since 2007 and oversees digitization projects as well as being the library’s go-to for rare books. She holds a BA in History from The Ohio State University, as well as an MLIS and Post-Master’s Certificate of Advanced Study in Library Science from Kent State University. Elissa Lawrence is a reference and cataloging librarian at the State Library of Ohio. Elissa harvests, archives and catalogs born-digital Ohio documents. She has a BS in Early Childhood Education from Ohio University and an MLIS from Kent State University.
Nicole Merriman is the Head of Research and Catalog Services at the State Library of Ohio. Nicole manages the reference and cataloging staff and collection digitization projects at the State Library. Ann M. Watson has been the Associate State Librarian for Library Services at the State Library of Ohio since 2014. Ann oversees all aspects of the Library Services Division, including the IT Department. She has a BA in History from West Virginia University, an MLIS from Kent State University and an MA in Education from The Ohio State University. Before coming to the State Library, Ann worked in academic libraries for eighteen years.
