The Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma is one of three (3) federally-recognized Shawnee tribes: the Eastern Shawnee on the Oklahoma-Missouri border near Wyandotte, OK; the Absentee Shawnee near Shawnee, OK; and the Shawnee Tribe in Miami, OK. The Tribe is proud to partner with Ohio History Connection to present a digital library of its past and cultural heritage. Funding for this searchable database is made possible by the Administration for Native Americans. The Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma is compiling a digital collection of images and documents to aid in historical and genealogical research.
