Digital Services offers custom digitization of our materials for personal, non-profit and commercial use, including photographs, slides, manuscripts, maps and much more! We also offer digitization services to individuals with an institutional affiliation for specialized scanning needs. Our large format scanner can digitize materials up to 60″ by 48”, with the ability to handle even larger materials via additional photo editing services. Our book scanners allow for digitization of fragile bound materials without the wear and tear of a flatbed scan.
The Ohio History Connection partners with local institutions to provide original microfilming, microfilm digitization and newspaper hosting services following current industry standards and best practices. We will also provide consultation and guidance on newspaper digitization to help you plan your project.
All cultural heritage repositories that hold and make publicly available materials related to Ohio history are invited to submit collections for inclusion into Ohio Memory. Digitizing your collections with Ohio Memory helps preserve your physical materials and increases access to the public, and we can help you with this important endeavor!
Over 370 cultural heritage institutions from all around Ohio have contributed items to Ohio Memory. See who has participated in your area by viewing our interactive map or browsing the list of Ohio Memory participants by region and county.
